Impact of Climate and Environment on Eye Health

Climate change and environmental perturbations have the potential to negatively impact ocular health. There exists a paucity of information on how various weather and air pollution factors affect specific pathogens causing ocular infections. Our laboratory seeks to evaluate the associations of various air pollutants and weather variables on ocular infectious and inflammatory diseases by leveraging publicly curated databases, in-house molecular diagnostics, and international collaborations.
