Pathogen Detection for Ocular Infections

eye exam

Ocular infections are challenging to diagnose due the limited available diagnostic tests in ophthalmology and the minute samples can be biopsied given the small anatomy of the eye. We work to optimize deep sequencing approaches to help improve diagnostics for clinicians and patients.

Diseases undergoing research are:

Uveitis (intraocular inflammation)
Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
Corneal ulcers
Scleritis
